animal cookies strain
Animal Cookies | Marijuana Strain Review
Animal Cookies is marked by small to medium-sized popcorn-like buds with a dense bud structure typical of
other indicas. Leaves are a yellowish-green; some phenotypes can express subtle purple hues. This purple is
brought out when colder temperatures stimulate pigments called anthocyanins — the process is similar to the
way foliage changes color in autumn when chlorophyll breaks down in cooler weather. The buds are very sticky
and covered in white to cloudy amber trichomes, perhaps lending the leaves their yellowish appearance.
Orange hairs — which are actually pistils to collect pollen from male plants — stand out against the colorful
flowers.strain has a scent that is simultaneously sweet and sour, with a dank, skunky edge. Breaking
open the sticky flowers yields some more notes of pepper and pine.
COOKIES STRAIN OVERVIEW
This strain is an excellent choice as a medicinal bud and has a pretty potent THC level,
averaging in around 23%. As a result, it is a great choice for anyone experiencing a condition involving chronic
pain. It also has a delicious flavor profile, boasting notes of cookies, cherry, and vanilla, so it’s pretty scrumptious too!
Description
Bred by the Canadian seed bank BC Bud Depot, the indica-leaning Cookies is a cross between Fire OG
and an award-winning cut of GSC (formerly Girl Scout Cookies), which won the 2013 High Times Medical
Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles. Packed with a cherry cookie flavor, Animal Cookies was bred when the breeder
attempted to improve the already coveted Girl Scout Cookies strain.
Several batches of Animal Cookies have been examined by the cannabis testing lab Analytical 360, which found
THC levels slightly above 20% in one sample. The terpene profile of this particular lab-tested strain
demonstrated a high presence of humulene, caryophyllene, and myrcene.
